The 15-minute stock count: how pilots replaced the weekend count
Cycle counts that run while you sell — and why they beat the quarterly close.

Most shops still close for a weekend once a quarter to count everything. Our pilots stopped doing that in their first month. Instead, they count a little every day.
Count a slice, not the store
Tallysoft picks fifteen minutes of counting each morning: the bins that moved most, the items with odd numbers and anything nobody has looked at in a while. One person, one scanner, before opening.
Why it beats the big close
errors are caught within days, not months
nobody loses a weekend or a day of sales
the numbers the register sees are the numbers on the shelf
By the end of a quarter every bin has been counted at least once — usually twice for your best sellers.
